For all the richness and diversity of architecture that this city presents, if your aim is to make a name for yourself in Philadelphia Photography then “wisdom” and “foresight” will serve you well! Aspiring photographers must have the wisdom to prepare thoroughly for each photo session. You must get into the habit of researching the location and finding out as much as you can about it. The information you gain will affect how you go about capturing the essence and details of the site. You must also develop the ability to see in your mind’s eye, the type of images you wish to create of the location. This foresight will guide your choice of equipment, timing of the photoshoot and how you edit the pictures you take. Your success in Philadelphia Photography will also depend how easily you can spot interesting features such as the ones shown in the photo above. Doing so will take a combination of a trained eye gained from years of experience in architectural photography and a natural knack for seeing what others probably would not catch onto, at first. Personally, while I have innate abilities in photography, I took the extra step to become professionally trained and certified. Added to these, my experiences come from working in several photography genres in locations around the globe. The photo above makes use of patterns, colors, light and dark to present a visually interesting and pleasing image. No doubt, these elements can be found all over and they may occur naturally or be manmade. This photo contrasts two patterns and colors on the building’s exterior, not just with each other, but also with the sky which partially frames them. Each of the three structures dominates its region of the photo while the three work in tandem to make a striking presentation.
