Hotels need to fill rooms in order to be successful. To attract guests to those rooms, however, will mean giving them a sense of what your hotel has to offer before they even set foot on the property. This is where hotel photography and a really good Hotel Photographer come in. Many of the photographs a hotel photographer takes will likely end up promoting the hotel in brochures or gracing the pages of industry magazines. The vast majority, however, will most likely be used on the establishment’s website. Most hotels find that their Accommodation pages receive the highest amount of traffic from their website’s visitors, making interior photographs an integral conversion tool. Exterior photographs are also quite valuable as they give a feel of the hotel’s presence, as well as the atmosphere guests will enjoy upon entry. That’s how it is with the iconic Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi hotel pictured above. The unique structure was the first new hotel anywhere in the world to be built over a formula one race circuit – the Yas Marina circuit, home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Guests at Yas Viceroy get to enjoy the thrill of having a track and cars passing under some sections of the hotel and even alongside several of the hotel’s rooms. Soundproof walls, however, ensure that you enjoy the sights but not the thundering sounds! The hotel’s roof is built in the design of curves which dip and flow in fascinating waves. There are over than 5,000 diamond-shaped LED panes on the roof which, while beautiful in the daylight, become simply stunning at night when their svelte silver color changes to mesmerizing purples, reds, yellows and blues. As a Hotel Photographer, my aim is to supply my clients with images that capture their property’s own unique presence, both in structure and in what it offers to guests.
