The Photography Industry is a fairly wide one with several different subsections. These include photography done for the television and movie industry; videography for private events; and still photography. The range of services provided by the industry encompass individual, group and school portraiture; as well as photographing events like weddings, sports, business functions and social celebrations. There is also commercial, technical and industrial photography. The entire industry has seen major growth in recent years and projections indicate that the trend will continue for some time to come. The approach of professional photographers to their job is a big driver of the sector’s success. They are providing their clients with top-quality pictures by making good use of the many available technologies. Most photographers are formally trained in photography but many also possess knowledge and certification in other areas which positively impact the level of professionalism they bring to an assignment. One other important factor leading to the current and projected success of the Photography Industry is the willingness of many photographers to work out in the field and travel to the various locations where their clients need them. This last part definitely applies to me, as my work as a photographer has taken me to numerous countries (on six continents!). Travelling in a big part of my job as a photographer and I am always eager to see what the next location holds for me. I have worked extensively in the Middle East, Africa and India taking amazing photos like the one shown above for my clients. It shows the Sun and Sky Towers while they were under construction. The location is Reem Island, a natural island roughly one-third of a mile off the coast of the much larger Abu Dhabi island in the United Arab Emirates. Developers on Reem Island include Sorouh Real Estate, Reem Investments and Tamouh.
