I have been a NYC Event Photographer for some time now and I have covered many different types of functions – some small and intimate, some casual, others formal and businesslike, plus quite a few that were very large and very elegant affairs, indeed. It is not just in New York that I have had these experiences, however, as my camera and I have traveled to several different countries to cover all kinds of events. The above photo is a great case in point. It was taken in the United Arab Emirates at the prestigious Abu Dhabi Awards in 2009. The ceremony was held at the exceptional Emirates Palace Hotel with many dignitaries and notable figures in attendance. In fact, the gentleman standing just right of center is His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates. Regardless of its size and level of grandeur, however, I approach each event with the same professional desire to fulfil my client’s expectations. What I present each client with at the time of delivery is a set of expertly taken photos that embody every aspect of the function, as per their instructions. The images work perfectly as additions to a website, newsletter, advertising material or brochure and as keepsakes for guests at the event. Of course, they can also add click-worthy and share-worthy content to a social media page. One very good piece of advice when hiring a professional NYC Event Photographer, is to have a shot list prepared. Include the names of people and occasions in the event that must be photographed. Go over the list with the photographer in advance and highlight whether there are groups or pairs you would like shots of as well. If getting pre-function shots of the layout or setting up of the event is important to you then let your photographer know and he’ll definitely be on hand to get those shots for you.
